New laptop what should i go for?

Sorry to be a pain for some reason it wont let me post replies to my questions or i just dont know how xD wanted to ask, any recommendations as to which laptop to go for next? one thats not going to cost me a arm and a leg like my last laptop for 1 / 2 at the most months worth, also should i just dump my old laptop is it worth anything? id be looking to pay �350 / �400 if possible
