Why does my body tan, but not my face?

I went through and checked and my cleanser, toner, and lotion (the only things on my face when I'm outside besides the light sunscreen that I put on my body) don't say anything about exposure to the sun and whatnot. My nose will burn and that's it! I have to put on a bunch of bronzer to make my face match my body :(
