Should i ask her out?

this girl i really like and her boyfriend break up on and off. recently a couple days ago they broke up again because he likes another girl and she got jealous of that and dumped him they havent been together for about 4 days. i wrote her a big long heartfelt message about 2 days ago to her on how much i liked her and she said that was really sweet and i would date you but im not over my ex so yesterday she came over and we spent the whole day cuddling but we arent dating so should i ask her out or wait awhile longer?
