Could someone provide me with a little critique?

it was actually pretty good- especially compared to what I'm used to reading on YA. You had good grammar most of the way through, but sometimes when you're trying to use artistic and metaphoric phrases, you just end up confusing me and making some part feel awkward. It's good to make sentences dynamic, but don't beat around the bush too much.
