Saw a hawk kill a small black bird about 10ft away does this have any symbolic meaning?

Last night i had some extremely trippy dreams. I woke up and was on the phone. Then i noticed something fluttering around outside my patio door. I looked through the blinds and saw a hawk standing atop a black bird. The bird looked me in the eyes for about 10 seconds and flew off with the bird in its talons one feather was left from the black bird. could this have a meaning?
